Coaches are increasingly being called upon to expand our capacities for advancing healing and awakening presence in the world. The Enneagram is often thought of as a typing system, but it’s value is far greater. It gives us a rich conceptual map of the dynamic nature of the human condition, illuminating and embracing the full range of Light and Shadow of each dimension of consciousness. Coaches can use this understanding to help clients move from the predictable, unsatisfying patterns to high levels of health, flexibility and positive impact by recognizing and using significantly different pathways.
Beyond the sacred gift of deepening our understanding and compassion for ourselves and others, the ultimate treasure of the Enneagram is as a framework for awakening from the conditioned experiences of life to embodied Presence.
This session will include a presentation on the “Inner Triangle of Identity” that can keep individuals feeling stuck, as well as experiential work with one presence-based principle central to Deep Coaching: the use of the Three Centers of Intelligence for building Capacity. This will be followed by short coaching demonstration of a counter-intuitive second DC principle which calls upon coaching courage. This second principle, founded on spiritual teachings across many traditions, is vital to freeing coaches and their clients to enter the direct experience of hooked patterns and move through them, into the Mystery.
One of the great benefits to both coaches and their clients in presence-based work is the fundamental awareness that ‘there is nothing to fix.”
