During the past six months we have been exploring the idea of merging the four Bay Area Chapters into one larger, more robust chapter. It has become a duplication of efforts for the smaller chapters to produce a website, write a monthly newsletter, and financially manage each chapter. It is important to note that we are the only ICF metropolitan area in the country that does not have one large chapter. Consequently, we have done exactly that, and the San Francisco chapter is THE place to be for making connections, fabulous presentations and opportunities to explore what’s new in the world of coaching. We feel certain this one united chapter, will be stronger, have a clearer voice with the ICF, and be able to offer our members more benefits.
It is our vision that we can maintain a local North Bay Coaches presence in the form of community gatherings in more informal settings, such as meeting for coffee or facilitating local master mind groups. We are open for suggestions and welcome your input.
The San Francisco Chapter (sfcoaches.org) will be taking the lead on the new organization and we anticipate that 2012 will be a year of big changes and exploration of this new, more efficient model that will potentially have significantly more offerings - especially with your involvement!
